Gratitude vs Hopelessness

Gossip and Strife

What others think about you is none of your business. It is your job to keep your side of the street clean. Gossip, Worry and Strife are totally unnecessary. How much of your life is wasted in this arena?

 Gossip is idle talk or rumor about the personal or private affairs of others. It is one of the oldest and most common means of sharing facts, views and slander. Not only does it hurt people that one talks about but it hurts yourself as well.

UNCONSCIOUS BEHAVIOR
 For other folks, the issue is not so much that they’re consciously being self-protective;
it’s when they DON’T KNOW they are being self-protective that is critical, and thus,
many people are unable to take self-responsibility for their behavior. As a result, many
folks begin to look outside themselves (blame, find fault, complain, whine…) when they
fail to take responsibility for themselves, as they don’t have the awareness to go inside
to explore “what’s up.” So, they gossip and look to find some “reason”, out there, to
gossip.
Unless we truly explore our inner behavior (mental models, self-images, ego constructs,
super-ego judgments, attendant beliefs, feelings and emotions), we cannot be free from
both the urge and the habit of gossip.
We can stop gossiping in the workplace only when an inner desire emerges from a
deep sense of integrity and authenticity, and a conscious desire to be harmless in the
context of our life and in our interactions with others.
Gossip is a form of workplace violence. To be free from inflicting this violence on others
we need to explore and heal the split between our outer self and inner self. Only then
can we live honest, sincere and responsible lives in the workplace, and out.
~Peter Vajda

Peter Vajda identifies gossip as a form of workplace violence, noting that it is "essentially a form of attack." Gossip is thought by many to "empower one person while dis-empowering another"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These things are a direct result of one's thinking. Worry is thinking about things that have not happened yet.  Worry is thoughts, images and emotions of a negative nature in which mental attempts are made to avoid anticipated potential threats. It puts the body in the state of fight or flight. As an emotion it is experienced as anxiety or concern about a real or imagined issue, usually personal issues such as health or finances or broader ones such as environmental pollution and social or technological change.
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
~ Matt 6:31-33
Both Worry and Gossip create stress and Strife - bitter conflict; heated often violent dissension
conflict, struggle, battle - an open clash between two opposing groups (or individuals) These conditions lead  to insomnia and illness
Cast your cares on the LORD
and he will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous fall.
~Psalm 55:22
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.
~Proverbs 3:5-6
You have a legacy that you were born into
 that influences you until you make
conscious choices to change your destiny!
