Gratitude vs Hopelessness

The Power of Turmeric & Golden Milk

Turmeric and curcumin extract have been extensively studied for their ability to kill various cancer cell lines. In fact, the literature is so abundant (see: 600 health benefits of turmeric) that it is both surprising and disheartening that so many patients who are in need of safe, effective and affordable treatments are not being given information about it. I am glad I found it.

Turmeric is a golden-yellow spice originally from India. It is one of my favorite all-time, multi-talented remedies for many different ailments. It can be used as an anti-inflammatory for people suffering from arthritis, joint pain, and muscle pain. It also aids in digestion, works as an anti-parasitic, and anti-bacterial.

According to Dr. William LaValley, who focuses most of his clinical work on the treatment of cancer, curcumin—a derivative of turmeric, and the pigment that gives the curry spice turmeric its yellow-orange color—may fit the bill.
Curcumin Destroys Cancer in Multiple Ways.

I was overjoyed when I found Golden Milk. Does turmeric need to be cooked?
Yes. To get the effects for which we are recommending it for here, it should be cooked. This converts the turmeric into a form that the body can easily absorb and use (what we call 'bioavailable').
Black pepper enhances bioavailability of Turmeric: One important question which must be popping in your mind right now would be why among so many spices are we talking about black pepper? The answer is really interesting too. One problem with curcumin is its low levels of bioavailability. Most of the curcumin that is ingested gets metabolized before it can get absorbed. Piperine is said to help make curcumin more bioavailable. This could be because it could inhibit certain intestinal digestive enzymes. This increases the amount of any drug or supplement that can be absorbed by the body. They also do not get degraded quickly. Hence, there are studies to test if co-administering curcumin with piperine could improve the bioavailability of the former. These studies have been conducted on humans and laboratory animals. One study found that when even 2g of curcumin was ingested, its serum levels were very low. However, when 20 mg piperine was added to curcumin the bioavailability increased by 2000%. The bioavailability, serum levels and levels of absorption of curcumin all improved dramatically.  Thus, if one tales turmeric, most of it is unutilized unless supplemented by add ons such as black pepper.

You would think it tastes bad. But it doesn't.

Step 1: Turmeric Paste:

Ingredients:

1/4 cup of turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper
1/2 cup of filtered water
Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a small a small sauce pan and mix well. Turn the heat to medium high and stir constantly until the mixture is a thick paste. This does not take long so don’t walk away from the pan.

Let this mixture cool and then keep it in a small jar in the fridge.

Step 2: Golden Milk

Ingredients:

1 cup of almond milk (hemp or coconut are also good options)
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon or more of turmeric paste
Honey
Directions:

Combine all the ingredients, except honey in a saucepan. Turn the heat to medium. While heating make sure to stir constantly and do not allow the mixture to boil. Add honey to taste.

I enjoy this drink and it is good for me!
I want to kick this cancer to the curb. Clean this body, get healthy.

1 out of 3 get cancer. The need to detox is ever growing.

Please pray for me that when I come off chemo this time.
It doesn't come back. Amen
